Being embodied is inhabiting all of your being with your attention and awareness. It’s feeling and experiencing yourself. Most of us have been conditioned to relate to ourselves and the world through our mind’s labeling and storytelling. Moving your attention into your body and your felt sense will shift the relationship to yourself and others.
When you do – some very uncomfortable experiences might occur! In other words: your shit will surface. All the emotions you’ve been suppressing, the pain or grief when you thought you were okay, the desires and boundaries you needed to disconnect with to stay safe, the rage you never allowed yourself to feel – are now here to be embraced by your loving arms.
Sounds like fun? Well, it’s a necessary step to empty the wound and shift your reactive patterns. Let’s call it the entrance fee to a more embodied way of life.
The good news: You get to grow out of your victimhood and fears along the way. A true heroine/hero’s journey. And oh so worth it for what’s waiting on the other side. A much more true, direct, loving, experience of yourself. Freedom from old conditioning and automated reactions. Connected, honest, authentic relationships.
