We all think we want what’s good, safe, loving, and joyful (especially in our relationships) – but parts of you have gotten used to struggle. They might even feel safe with it. Struggle, protection, and survival are the known, while feeling safe and at ease are the unknown.
Maybe you learned to feel safe by withdrawing – but how will you create joyful connections from there? Maybe you got used to managing on your own – but how will you open up to receive? Maybe all you long for is loving attention – but the way you learned to receive it is by feeling miserable.
In this sense, your will is divided. While consciously you want the good stuff, unconsciously you might have parts resisting it. Which keeps you in endless pursuit of it without ever learning to HAVE and HOLD it.
In the second episode of The New House series, we explore how you can unify your will and re-program for goodness.
