What your mind THINKS you need to make shifts, and what you actually need

15 August 2022

In many areas of our life, we’re so used to talking about things that we miss checking in with what we actually need and feel (as we explored in episode 58). This pattern also sneaks into how you’re doing inner work. You’ve read the books, taken the courses and listened to the teachers but still feel like you’re not where you want to be. Faced with the fear of failing, your mind dreams up ideas of what you need and what you’re missing to get the shifts that you want.

Your mind will likely think there’s a missing piece, something you’re not seeing, a modality you need to learn or a teacher that will open something new in you… But ponder for a moment where you would be if you were to implement and integrate even a fraction of the things you already know about healing and changing your inner world. If you were to actually do the work and embody the things you know.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I suggest that the main reason for signing up for programs and workshops should be to get supported in embodiment and doing work. And how the mind will keep dreaming of how wonderful life will be later and what you need to get there – and keep you from taking action.

If you’re looking to try a shorter but powerful container to support you in embodiment work, join us in my weeklong training Feeling Me.

Also, my main program Being Me is open once per year. An alchemical container where you connect with your wanting and embody the true you, underneath the old program of beliefs.

Listen to episode 59, on What you THINK you need vs What you actually need, here:

A summary of what I talk about in this episode:

  • The guesswork of the mind – and the self-betrayal in that
  • What the mind thinks is missing in our inner work
  • What we’re actually missing
  • What a good container should provide you with
  • Plus a conversation with Tina, Cecilia and Tami on the importance of embodiment and community
