When it feels selfish to focus on you

When it feels selfish to focus on you

01 November 2023

Our program tends to have a lot to say about caring for ourselves. Whether it’s taking some time off, doing what you want, or investing time, attention and money into yourself and your growth. When you’ve been domesticated to put survival and others first, your mind will say that focusing on what you want is selfish. Something that’s okay to do only when all other people have what they need, all other bills have been paid and the wars have ended.

But nothing could be further from the truth. When you change your inner world and the old fear-based belief system, and step into a trust in life – you become the gift the world needs. Someone who can stand in their truth and won’t get swayed by collective fear. Someone who can embody internal peace, and therefore can truly stand for peace in the world. Someone who creates their path, instead of following a blueprint of musts and shoulds.

You fill your cup with so much love and alignment so that you can show up that way in the world. There’s nothing that feels more fulfilling AND brings something of true value into the world.

After a while, this becomes your natural state. But in the beginning, you’ll have to remind yourself again and again to not believe the old program and to take new action.

That’s why I have a special gift for you in this last episode of the turn-on month. (If you want the turn on to continue and the full-on activation of your authentic self, join my signature program BEING ME.)

Today’s special episode is 20 minutes of affirmations to remember being you. When to stop trying to figure things out and breathe and regulate your nervous system. When to stop thinking and start feeling. When to become present with what’s alive in you instead of focusing on things around you.

I recorded these affirmations at the end of the last round of Being Me and shared them with the members as a bonus, and now it’s here to support you in aligning with yourself and life itself. Let them seep into all the delicious forgotten corners of you.
