Ever felt like you’ve been taken hostage by your to-do list and responsibilities? Not until THIS is done will you be able to enjoy, relax, take care of yourself, or grow. But the end to the list never seems to come and you suspect you’re keeping yourself in an endless loop of stress and doing. Because even when you have a moment your mind keeps dreaming up new things that need your attention. A doing addiction.
But another part of you longs to be more present, more here for your life that seems to rush by. More in your body, your heart, connected. To relax, enjoy, flow and trust. To be there with your partner, your kids, your friends and family.
It’s easy to look at the pattern of doing and accomplishing as the problem itself, but it’s often put there as a protection layer. Seemingly trying to get somewhere – to be loved, accepted, appreciated, but really avoiding something else – feeling painful emotions from rejection, loneliness, and slowing down.
