This past month we’ve explored the way we reject aspects of ourselves. So how does this whole rejection come about? We can call it conditioning, but at the core it’s also about how your ego mind works. In the hunt for creating a desirable identity, your ego mind will reject aspects of your self that don’t fit. Expressions, behaviors, and emotions that are exiled and unwanted.
This is where the conflict lies – they are indeed there but your ego doesn’t want them to, or you deny that they are. What we often aren’t aware of is that the pushing away also creates a major inner conflict that uses a lot of your energy. A constant rejection of your inner (and outer) experience: “I should not be hungry now. I don’t have time to be sick today. I should not feel angry, I know it’s not her fault…”
A war with everything that is and with life itself. An inner shaming – like something is wrong with you for having these experiences, and then a shaming for shaming yourself. An epidemic.
When you decide you want to end this constant battle with how life is appearing right now and start to be with all of you as a valid expression of life, what you’ll experience is an inner peace and trust in yourself and much more energy at your disposal. You’ll go from wanting an experience to go away to embracing it and alchemizing it.
The sixth episode of the LOVE ALSO THIS series looks at why the rejection was created in the first place and the inner conflict with what’s here. It explores the transition into loving yourself – which might not be what your mind thinks it is.
